Local Companies Partner to Give to Boys & Girls Clubs
Service Assurance, King Cotton Meats offer joint donation to local organization
March 11, 2010
Service Assurance and King Cotton Meats recently partnered to provide
a $7,500 gift to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis.
The companies developed a creative approach to offering the donation by
mixing in-kind services with the presentation of the financial award.
Service Assurance, a Memphis-based information technology and managed
services provider, agreed to donate a network assessment and technology
audit to Monogram Foods, Parent Company to King Cotton and Circle B
Meats, in exchange for the $7,500 check to the Clubs made in the tech
company’s name.
The gift was presented to Vincent Borello, president and CEO of The Boys
& Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis at a recent dinner event hosted by the
organization.
“For 20 years we’ve been committed not only to providing great service
to our clients, but also to being a responsible company in our
community,” said Mark Giannini, co-founder of Service Assurance.
“Partnering with King Cotton to give to a worthy and worthwhile
organization such as The Boys & Girls Clubs was the next component in
our community giving plan, but it won’t be the last this year.”
Karl Schledwitz, chairman and CEO of Monogram Foods, echoed those
sentiments and commented on the importance of community partnerships to
his company.
“We couldn’t be happier about our involvement with The Boys & Girls
Clubs,” Schledwitz said. “When the opportunity to partner with Service
Assurance on this giving opportunity presented itself, we thought it was
a great way to align ourselves with two organizations we believe in. Our
brand is locally owned, and we want to give back to the community that
has helped us become successful. Many of our products lend themselves to
children, so the Clubs are a perfect place for us to help with gifts
like this.”
